What is the difference between Basic Mathematics and Pre Algebra ?

Question by california girl <3: What is the difference between Basic Mathematics and Pre Algebra ?

I want to take a math class over the summer, and I wanted to know if Basic Mathematics was the same as Pre Algebra or not. If it IS the same, then I wont take this class. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you !

Not, they're not. Basic math is more like multiplication and division and introducing integers and Pre-algebra is more with evaluating expressions and more into depth with graphing and concepts
